Cognito Health

Cognito Health is an online mental health service connecting Canadians with access to mental health resources, and nurse practitioners. Based in Victoria, BC, they were looking to redesign their onboarding and self-assessment survey to prepare them for their Canadian service expansion. As the lead UX designer on the project, my role was to facilitate user interviews with existing Cognito clients and to develop user flows and sitemaps to re-imagine their self-assessment portal to increase client sign-up.

With the Partner team, we spoke with several of Cognito’s clients to understand their experience and user needs with the product. We redesigned their self-assessment and onboarding flows from the ground up and connected them to create a cohesive experience for prospective clients. Visually, we adapted the Cognito brand voice to improve the user experience and allow users to make more informed decisions to best align with their mental health needs.
